Work with elements in screens

Customize the appearance of a screen by mixing, matching, and rearranging individual elements.

You can add elements to the following screen types:

  • Blank Screen
  • Text Question
  • Image Question
  • Add a Logo element.
    1. In the preview pane, click Add Element and select Logo.
    2. Click the Logo element in the preview pane to select an image or upload a new one.
    3. Click Save.
  • Add a Text Box element.
    1. In the preview pane, click Add Element and select Text Box.
    2. Type your text.
    3. Edit and format the text.
  • Add a Choice Question element.
    1. In the preview pane, click Add Element, select Choice Question, and then select one of the following:
      • Text
      • Image
      • Image + Text
      Result: The application adds two answer options to the screen.
    2. Add answer images.

      Click the add image icon in the middle.

      Select an image from the library or upload a new one, and click Save.

    3. Edit the images.
    4. Type the answer text.
    5. To add another answer option, repeat step a.
    Tip: Experimenting with what looks best in your Blank Screen's Choice Question element?
    • It's easier to start with an Image + Text element and convert it into an Image element than the other way around. Simply delete the answer text under the image.
    • Try mixing and matching different types of answer options in the same question.
    • Use the Image Editor to adjust how the image is cropped (square, portrait, or landscape).
  • Add a Date Entry element.
    1. In the preview pane, click Add Element and select Date.
    2. In the preview pane, hover over the date entry area until a large box appears around everything, and then click and select a date format option from the edit toolbar:
      • MM/DD/YYYY
      • DD/MM/YYYY
      • MM/YYYY
      • YYYY
    3. Edit and format the text of the date input control and date display.
  • Move elements up or down.
    Click an element, and then use the up and down arrows in the edit toolbar.
  • Delete an element.
    Click an element, and then click the delete button in the edit toolbar.
