Distribute your activity on social media.

You can share the link on any social media platform. For some platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and WhatsApp), you can also customize the link preview that potential participants see. A visually appealing preview with a meaningful title, image, and description is more eye-catching and clickable than a plain URL.

Previewing the activity lets you ensure the look and feel of your content is on-brand, is customized to attract your target audience, and will stand out for the average user who is passively scrolling through a newsfeed.

Note: The ability to share an activity through an Instagram story depends on Instagram's policy. Currently a profile must have at least 10,000 followers to be able to do this.
  1. On the Dashboard or the Activities page, click the activity name, and then click Distribute.
  2. Click New Distribution.
  3. Click Share on social.
  4. Name your distribution.
  5. Optional: Select or clear Allow Respondents to change activity language.

This option is available for multilingual activities. When this option is selected, participants can choose their preferred language from a menu in the top left corner of the first screen. Their language choices cannot be changed in subsequent screens. The available languages reflect the languages in which the activity was authored.

Participants' language selections apply on a per distribution, per activity basis; they are not saved and persisted across distribution methods for the same activity, or in future Touchpoint activities.

  6. Optional: Add footer links for the activity.
    1. Type the Link Title that will be visible to participants.
    2. Type the Link.
    3. Click Add footer link.
    4. Repeat steps a to c to add another footer link.
  7. Optional: Edit the link preview.
This step is not necessary for sharing on social media successfully; however, it is strongly recommended if you want the link to look its best on certain platforms.
    Note:
    • The link works on any social media platform, regardless of which link preview you edited. For example, even though you may have customized and previewed how the link looks on LinkedIn, you can still post the link on Facebook.
    • Once the activity is distributed, the link preview is cached on the social media platform. Subsequent changes to the distribution or link preview will not be reflected.
    • Some aspects of the preview's appearance are determined by the social media platform's look and feel, and therefore cannot be customized.
    1. Click Customize Link (Optional).
    2. Click one of the social media platforms.

      Options include:

      • Facebook
      • Twitter
      • LinkedIn
      • WhatsApp
    3. Type the Title.
If you do not type a title, by default, the application uses the title from the first screen. The application uses the subtitle if there is no title. If the first screen has no title or subtitle, the application uses the default title "We would love to hear from you!"
    4. Type a Description.
    5. Choose or upload an image.

The image selection includes all images from the activity. You can select one as the preview image, or add a new image unrelated to the activity.

If no preview image is chosen, the application uses an Touchpoint image as a default.

Note: GIFs cannot be used as preview images when sharing the activity on social media.

      • Continue collecting responses

The distribution remains open. Participants who try to access the activity through this distribution can still complete it even though the quota is met.
